The train departs for Otjiwarongo at 11:00am. Guests can freshen up in their suites before joining fellow travelers in the lounge car or the observation car at the rear of the train.
Lunch will be served at 13:00pm in the dining cars. The train travels across the Namib Desert towards Otjiwarongo. The Namib Desert extends over 2,000 km along the Atlantic coasts of Angola, Namibia, and South Africa. Its geology features sand seas near the coast and gravel plains with scattered mountain outcrops further inland. The name "Namib" comes from the Khoekhoegowab language, meaning "vast place." Having endured arid or semi-arid conditions for approximately 55-80 million years, the Namib is possibly the oldest desert in the world.
At 16:30 the tea will be served in the lounge and observation cars. The observation car will lead the train until lunchtime tomorrow, offering a unique perspective that our rail enthusiasts will enjoy.

At 9:00 am transfer (approximately 60 minutes) to visit a cheetah conservation project in Otjiwarongo. Established in Namibia in 1990, the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) is dedicated to preserving cheetahs in the wild.

Tea will be served in the lounge car and observation car at the rear of the train at 16:30pm

Etosha National Park, spanning 22,270 km², is renowned for its excellent game viewing, home to numerous species of mammals, birds, and reptiles. The park is named after the Etosha Pan, a vast salt pan covering 4,760 km², which almost entirely lies within the park. The name "Etosha" means "Great White Place," reflecting the pan's striking appearance as part of the Kalahari Basin.

Breakfast will be served at 6:00am till 7:00am at the lodge followed by a game drive in the Etosha National Park. Return to the lodge to freshen up and check-out by 10:45.

Transfer to the airstrip. Depart in a light aircraft for a one-hour flight to a Sossusvlei lodge for overnight.

At 16:30pm Afternoon desert drive and a bush dinner after sunset (Dress Code: Casual). The dunes of the Namib Desert were formed from sand carried by the wind from the Namibian coast. This sand, over five million years old, is red due to its iron-oxide content. The dunes' colors shift throughout the day with changing light, making for fascinating photographs at any time. In the Sossusvlei area, the wind blows from all directions, shaping the sand into star-like formations with multiple arms, hence the name "star dunes."

Start your day early with tea and coffee, followed by a desert drive and breakfast in the vlei. Afterward, return to the lodge to use the facilities, check out, and transfer to the airstrip.
Board a light aircraft for a one-hour flight to Windhoek, departing at 12:30pm. Located in Namibia's central highlands, Windhoek is an attractive city encircled by clusters of hills and the impressive Auas and Eros Mountains. The Trans-Namib Transport Museum highlights the history of Namibian transport, with a special focus on the railway. The Independence Memorial Museum is dedicated to the country's anticolonial resistance and national liberation struggle.
Enjoy lunch at the Windhoek Country Club at 14:00pm, followed by a city tour. Visit the TransNamib Transport Museum, the Independence Memorial Museum, the Evangelical Lutheran Church (a striking landmark), and the Namibia Craft Centre located in the old Breweries Building
Depart for Kalahari Desert at 18:00pm
Dinner is served in the dining cars at 19:30pm en route to Mariental. (Dress Code: Formal)

At 14:00 pm Visit Keetmanshoop and Garas Park (Quiver Trees), home to around 300 specimens of the Aloe dichotomy. These prehistoric trees, with their forked branches reaching up to 5 meters, offer excellent photographic opportunities

Wake up early in the morning for your breakfast at 6:00am until the departure in the dining cars
At 8:00 AM, transfer to the ghost town of Kolmanskop (approximately 60 minutes), followed by lunch in Lüderitz. Lüderitz is known for its museum, colonial architecture, and wildlife, including seals, penguins, flamingos, and ostriches. Keep an eye out for the elusive legendary horses rumored to roam the Namibia
At 18:00 depart for Holoog. The observation car will be leading the train until after dinner.

Transfer to the Fish River Canyon (approximately 60 minutes) at 8:30am. The Fish River originates in central Namibia and flows south into the Orange River on the border with South Africa. It has carved out the magnificent Fish River Canyon, the largest canyon in the southern hemisphere and likely second only to Arizona's Grand Canyon in size. This vast rocky landscape features a series of stunning cliffs and measures an impressive 161 km long, up to 27 km wide, and almost 550 m deep.

At 08:30am enjoy a walking tour of Upington followed by a sundowner cruise on the Orange River. The Orange River is the longest river in South Africa, stretching 2,432 km (1,511 mi). It originates in the Drakensberg Mountains in Lesotho and flows westward through South Africa to the Atlantic Ocean. The river forms part of the borders between South Africa and Lesotho, as well as South Africa and Namibia. Apart from Upington, it does not pass through any major cities. Sir Thomas Upington, the Attorney General of the Cape, was chiefly responsible for dismantling the business operations of the Orange River pirates and capturing their leader, Klaas Lucas. After the desperadoes were finally driven away in 1884, the town was established on the banks of the Orange River and named in his honor.

At 9:00 AM, take a tour of Kimberley's Diamond Mine Museum and the Big Hole. Kimberley, the capital of the Northern Cape, is renowned for the discovery of diamonds that led to its founding in 1871.
The lunch will be served at the dining cars at 13:00 pm. The train continues on its way to Pretoria.
