Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, enjoy a private transfer to your hotel in Colombo. Check in and relax after your journey. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the nearby attractions or unwinding at your hotel.

Day 2

After Breakfast you'll explore Colombo, starting with Ape Gama, a traditional village replica (optional). Then, drive along Parliament Drive for views of the Sri Lankan Parliament and visit Diyatha Uyana, a lakeside park. You'll stop at the (optional) Dehiwala Zoo to learn about animal conservation, followed by the (optional) Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple. Visit Independence Square and (optional) the Colombo National Museum, then pass by Viharamahadevi Park and Town Hall. Explore Premadasa & Co. Jewellers and Wall ART Street and see the Colombo Lotus Tower. You'll also pass by Pettah Market and visit the Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque and Sri Ponnambala Vaneswarar Kovil and St. Anthony's Shrine before ending at Galle Face Green and One Galle Face for shopping and dining.

Day 3

Conservation After breakfast you'll take a tour. After being picked up at your hotel, hop onboard your Madu Ganga Mangrove boat safari and explore the Madu River. See the mangrove forests and marshlands that surround the river. Stop at a cinnamon garden, and try some of the area’s famous cinnamon. The Madu Ganga River region is home to some of the best quality cinnamon in the world as well as a flourishing cinnamon industry. Afterward, marvel at the fishermen who stoically sit atop large branches planted in the middle of the water, waiting for their catch. Continue to a local Turtle Hatchery, where your guide will introduce you to the many local varieties of turtles. End your tour with a visit to the Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fort illustrates the unique interaction of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries. After discovering the fort, you will be returned to your hotel in Colombo.

Day 4

On Day 4, after breakfast, you’ll have a leisure day to relax and explore at your own pace. You can choose to wander around the local area, visit nearby attractions, or enjoy some downtime at your hotel or resort. During the time of the Vesak Festival, you can immerse yourself in this vibrant cultural celebration, which features traditional music, dance and festivities. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage and local traditions. Whether you choose to explore on your own or join in the festival celebrations, it’s a day to enjoy at your own pace.

Day 5

After Breakfast it’s time to say goodbye to Sri Lanka. You'll check out of your hotel and be transferred to the airport for your departure. Depending on your flight time, your driver will ensure a smooth transfer to the airport, where you'll catch your flight back home, taking with you unforgettable memories of your trip. Safe travel!
