Itinerary

Day 1

Early Morning your journey with us starts here in Kampala early this morning when one of our representatives will greet you and make sure your trip begins well. Welcome to Uganda and welcome to your safari! It all begins here with an introduction to your guide and with a chance for you to ask any questions. Then it's time to get out there and enjoy your safari. Because you chose Uganda, you have so much to look forward to. Described as the most exciting thing to happen to the Nile along its 6,000km journey from Lake Victoria to the Mediterranean, the 43m-high Murchison Falls is also the centerpiece of Uganda's largest and oldest national park. Here you might encounter four of the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo), along with the world's largest population of the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, and several types of antelope and monkey. Particularly noteworthy among 550-odd recorded bird species are the hulking great shoebill and Abyssinian ground hornbill, and the beautifully marked and much localized whitecrested turaco and red-headed lovebird.

Kampala - Your next stop is Kampala, a modern capital city whose name derives from the local Luganda phrase Kosozi Kampala – literally ‘Hill of Antelope’.

Rhino tracking, Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch- Second only to elephants when it comes to bulk among African land mammals, white rhinos are intimidating creatures, as you'll see for yourself when you track them in Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch. This admirable rhino breeding project is home to plenty of other wildlife too, but Uganda's only population of rhinos does tend to steal the show, and it is a real thrill to encounter these peaceful grass-cropping giants on foot.

Day 2

Put on some warm clothes and enjoy an early morning game drive. This is the perfect time to experience the wildlife and the landscapes they inhabit. The light is soft and warm – perfect for photography – and most animals are out and about, and active. If you’re not an early riser, you’ll definitely want to make an exception here

Day 3

We break our game drive this morning with a stop at the famous Top of the fall, a stunning viewpoint from where you can truly appreciate the primal power of Murchison Falls. We once again find ourselves in the lovely surrounds of Murchison Falls National Park. Your time with us on safari in Uganda is now at an end, but we hope to have given you many fantastic memories that will live on long after you've returned home. Travel home safely, and we hope to see you again
