After breakfast, get
ready for a day of sightseeing in Hampi. Start by visiting
the Sri Virupaksha Temple, located in the western part
of Hampi Bazaar, where you can also enjoy some local
shopping. Hampi is well-known for its amazing
management and historical significance. There are
many other important sites nearby, such as the Lakshmi
Narasimha, Stepped Tank, Royal Enclosure, Shri Krishna
Temple, Hazara Ram Temple, and Dasara Dibba. A short
walk from the Hazara Ram Temple (about 500 meters)
will take you to the Lotus Mahal, a beautiful structure
in the Janana Bada area. This building is shaped like a
lotus flower from above, with arches that resemble
lotus petals, making it look like a half-open lotus. The central dome is shaped like a lotus bud.
The Kamal Mahal is built in a unique Indo-Islamic style. Next, visit the Archaeological Museum
in Kamalapur, which showcases artifacts from the ruins of Hampi and nearby areas. After a day
of exploring, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Hampi.
