The next day, Tuesday, May 26, marks the Day of Arafah, the most significant day of the Hajj pilgrimage. And Eid al-Adha will probably start on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

Eid al-Adha Prayer Time in UAE 2026
Although Muslims pray five times a day regularly, Eid Al Adha namaz is different. How?
- Tahjjud has two rakats for prayer, but the rakats for daily prayers can vary.
- Two additional takbirs are performed prior to reciting Surah-Fatihah in Eid prayers.
- This prayer is performed in congregation in big mosques or even on open grounds.
- Before we go to Eid prayer, there is no adhan or iqamah.
- The Khutbah is delivered AFTER the prayer, NOT BEFORE.
- This kriya is practiced in the early morning after sunrise.
- This prayer is to celebrate an important Islamic occasion. It is not the same as daily prayers.
Eid al-Adha 2026 in the UAE will most probably be celebrated between May 27 and May 29, 2026. Official 2026 prayer timings for Eid al-Adha in the UAE will be confirmed a few days before Eid, based on the moon sighting that occurs the day before.
Meanwhile, the timings for the sunrise prayers and the early morning congregational prayers for 2026 can be calculated and will vary between the Emirates. Eid al-Adha 2026 timings in the UAE will fall between 5:48 am and 6:25 am.

How to do the Eid al-Adha prayer?
- Start the prayer by saying “Allahu Akbar.”
- Add seven extra takbirs to the first rakat before beginning to read.
- Read Surah Al-Fatihah and then another short Surah.
- Complete ruku and sujood, as in normal prayer.
- Stand for the second rakat.
- In the second rakat of witr, say 5 additional takbirs.
- Read Surah Al-Fatihah and another short Surah again.
- Complete the prayer with ruku, sujood, and salam.
- Believers in the mosque usually listen to the khutbah after prayer.
- Make dua and thank Allah after finishing.
How to do Eid al-Adha prayers at home?
Ensure that you complete the Eid ul-Adha namaz properly, following this guide one step at a time.
- Wake up early so you can get ready before the Eid prayer time.
- Wash (or perform an 'iddah) before prayer. Start by taking a bath (Ghusl).
- Please dress smart for the occasion and come in your clean 'best clothes.'
- Choose a clean spot at home to perform prayer in a peaceful manner.
- Make your intention for Eid al-Adha from within.
- Offer as many rakats as possible as if you were in the mosque on that day of Eid. Offer two rakats, like an Eid prayer.
- Repeat "Allahu Akbar" more times during both rakats of the Eid prayer.
- Recite Surah Al-Fatihah and another Surah in every rakat.

- Read or listen to the Eid khutbah (if available online) after prayer.
- After finishing prayer, make dua and ask for Allah's blessings.

Eid Al-Adha prayers in the UAE will begin shortly after sunrise on Thursday. The time of sunrise in the UAE will be between 5:48 am and 5:57 am, depending on the emirate.
It is a beneficial idea to arrive at least 30 to 45 minutes prior to the start of prayer, especially at major mosques. The time to Eid prayer may vary slightly from mosque to mosque, and you should watch local announcements for details.
