We all have Muslim friends, but we always hesitated to ask them questions about their culture. What we know is that they celebrate Eid twice a year.

Eid Al Adha is the greater Eid of the two Eids and is also known as a feast of sacrifice.

It is not a festival that people celebrate only in their households.

As a ritual, they split the sacrificed meat into three portions: one for the family, the other for friends and relatives, and the rest for needy people.

It is a festival that depicts harmony and goodwill for the people. The Adha feast is a perfect example of spreading happiness across the world.

Eid Adha Prayer Time in UAE 2025

Although Muslims pray five times a day regularly, Eid Al Adha namaz is different. How?

  • The time for this prayer is between sunrise and Zuhr. Eid prayers are auspicious, which is why this prayer is performed on the auspicious tenth day of Dhu al-Hijja.
  • It is performed in congregation; the first unit of the prayer includes seven takbeers, followed by five takbeers in the second unit. Also known as Salat al-Eid al-Adha or Salat Eid al-Adha, this prayer is concluded by a sermon from the Imam, the religious leader.

Just as there is a specific muhurat for performing auspicious rituals in Hindu culture, there is a particular time to perform the prayers for Eid al-Adha in Islam.

Being a significant part of the festival, the Eid Al Adha prayer, whether done in the mosque or the house, must be performed on time. Getting all the preparations done is necessary to make it prosperous. To make it easier for you, the Eid Al Adha namaz times for different cities in the UAE are:

How to do Eid al-Adha Prayer at Home?

How to do Eid al-Adha Prayer at Home?

Ensure that you complete the Eid ul-Adha namaz properly, following this guide one step at a time.

  • Just like there is an Imam (religious leader) in the mosque, your Bakra Eid Namaz at home should also have an adult male playing the part of the Imam. If you are performing the prayer all by yourself, you should be the Imam as well as the follower.
  • The first unit of the prayer (also known as rak’ah) includes seven takbeers. Raise your hands and softly say 'subhanallah, walhamdulillah, wala ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar’ when you hear a takbeer from the Imam. On the other hand, you should be sitting with folded arms and listening quietly when the Imam recites Surah Al-Fatihah and another surah.
  • Remember to bow in the ruckus pose when you hear ‘Allahu Akbar’ from the Imam. You must stand tall and recite ‘Rabbana lakal Hamd’ when you hear ‘Sami Allahu liman Hamidah’ from the Imam. To conclude a sujud, the Imam calls out ‘Allahu Akbar,’ and you must rise when hearing ‘Allahu Akbar’ after the completion of two sujoods. This signifies the conclusion of the first rak’ah.
  • With five takbeers in the second rak’ah, do not forget to say ‘Subhanallah, alhamdulillah, wala ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar’ while following the Imam’s recitations and actions between the takbeers.
  • Sit for Tashshahud after the two Sujood and listen to the Imam saying, ‘Assalamu alaikum wa Rahmatullah,’ while he turns his head towards his right shoulder and then to the left. Just follow the Imam and conclude your prayer the right way.
